Stupid sock question

Default Stupid sock question

I have good Rocky 800g boots and my feet still get cold I wear regular socks, what kind how many layers should I use.

Default Stupid sock question

hey mojave300ex thanks for helping on the fuel leak question about your socks i wear 100% cotton on the inside and wool as the second pair i always buy my cold weather boot about a half size bigger so i can wear two pair of socks with no problem this seem to keep my feet warm and dry

Default Stupid sock question

cotton is about the worst you can wear. It absorbs moisture and doesnt wick it away from your body. Get some good polypropylene sock, then put your wool on over that. While your at it you can get poly underware also. I have 2 different weights of poly for cold weather gear and its the next best thing to sliced bread.

hey mojave,

buy some sealskinz. look in cabella's or similar catalog. they are pricey but worth it. they will keep your feet dry and warm. you can also get disposable toe warmers for about 1.00 a pair.
