Default scram. mods

has anyone put a 42 mil. flatside carb on a 500 scram. and did make a big difference, im also installing an hpd pipe. already put on roller clutch. thanks

I know they work great on the modded 400's. You can always check with the friendly folks at Hot Seat, since they sell them.

I worked on a SP500 I think it's basically the same engine as the Scrambler, It had a 42mm flatslide it had great power but you had to ease into it or it would bog down, that will happen if a 4 stroke doesn't have an acc pump style carb. You can't just just punch the throttle and hope it will take off fast if you do it will stall you have to ease into it and it will be fine, I would keep your stock carb you don't really need to go bigger unless you have ported and piped just a pipe the stock carb works great.
