I paid $5.00 for the Fram versionof the 400ex filter.

 

Kimpex?? Is that a brand? would the honda dealer carry this type? I'll prob go to procycle to get it..

 

Thanks guys..i got the 400ex filter..did the swap myself today..glad i did..there was quite a bit of metal on the drain plug! Not a whole lot, but enough to be glad i changed my oil!

Oh..whats the hex screw on the oil filter cover for??

 

It could be for a oil pressure test. I don't know, but it sounds good.

By the way, did my oil change tonight and was very easy. I didn't have much metal, but some. Also put on a 13 tooth sprocket, K&N filter, and my shock covers.

 

Ok...so i have about 5 hours on my pred now...how long till can i start really lean on this puppy???

Hey Scotts88 I forgot to ask you a question about your predator.. Are you living on or out of your predator? Didn't you just get your predator yesterday? You already have 5 hours on it!!! Remember the predator needs it beauty rest also.

 

I got the bike on wed...put a little over an hour on it since then..did the oil change today and drove it on and off for till I got about 5hrs total on it...[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] So your saying i can start putting the hammer down??

 

I changed mine at about two hours. I found quite a bit of metal stuck to the magnetic drain plugs.

 

I also did the one hour change ... I did drain the ps4 oil and go to silkalene for the break in I don't think synthetic is the answer for brake in..also the plug or tap fitting is used if you leave the drain plug out over night or while working on a drained oil system, it is a place to prime the oil pump for when it is run dry... I have to say I have nothing but good to say so far on this machine....
