Default Anyone cross the bridge???

I was just wondering who if anyone has switched from a different "sport" quad to the Predator? And if so, what were the things that changed your mind? I know that a friend of mine is possibly going to go from his 2001 Raptor to a Predator, but he is having problems up that a$$ with his. Either that or he is going to buy another Raptor, 2003. He is a larger guy, and he feels more confortable on the Raptor, but he hasn't ridden my Predator yet. I've been riding a 400ex for about 3 months every weekend b4 I got my Predator, and I did enjoy riding it. Way under powered compared to the Predator, and of course the suspension had a lot to be desired, when you like to fly!!! Thanks all!

There is a guy here that dropped his DS650 and went for the Preditor. He said he will never turn back. The DS forum was knocking him bad. Oh well!! Another one for the good guys i guess.

Well I'm not really switching from anything as I'm not parting with what I have but the reasons I went for the Predator were all the features other quads don't have in stock form. The physical size of the machine compared to others was a big reason. The DS is to wide for my type of riding, I have to be able to run some narrow trails under 50" to connect the forest roads where you open them up. The Raptor is too narrow and wheelie prone which can be corrected, but why should I have to spend another rather large chunk of change to make it the way it should have been in the first place. I just think for the price the Predator is a good buy for the features it comes with. I wish the engine displacement would have been larger but at least it comes in a better state of tune than most other stockers. I finally pick mine up tomorrow (TLD) but won't log to much time on it until warmer weather returns. I look forward to the ride experience and how it will compare to the other quads I have.

I "crossed the bridge so to speak"... I was/am a big Ex fan. That bike bought back the sport-quad scene in a big way. I love catching air and not being blown away by the Raptor or Suzuki/KFX was about to drop large change to upgrade EX power, suspension, and handling. . My buddy bought the predator and wanted me to tell him what I thought. It was awesome. They all thought I was kidding when I said I will have this bike soon. They were shocked when I bought it home. But it is the best bike out right now. They seem to be as bullet-proof as my Hondas have all been. My father bought a trailblazer for my mom. He then bought a Scrambler for himself. After trips to Hatfield/Mccoy, Brown Mountain,Uhwarrie,Wayehutta and last spring to Little Sahara (OK) I must admit I was impressed with the ol man's ride. But I need clutch and handling and everything the Predator is.
I love my old EX but this bike is on the next level. I am doing jumps I would only dream about on the EX.
As much trash as I talked to all the guys I am a Po-dog man now. This thing is a dream for 6 grand.
