I say good for Polaris. They learned from others mistakes, looked outside the box and made a good running quad!
As far as this racing stock againts stock....who cares! How many stock quads do you see competeing on the hills.....none. If you bought a Predator or Raptor and expect to compete while close to stock....you bought the wrong quad.
The only things the magazines are good for is pictures and some how to's!

Truckracer,

Have you ever raced Virlink on his Predator?? he lives in McAlester,OK.(i think).

I raced him at whitefield with my DS(on alky) and could BARELY beat him. Only at the very end could I squeez a wheel by.

He had only a gearing change, and a re-jetted carb. WOW!!! Very impressive!! I will put him agianst ANY piped and jetted 4-stroke of any kind.

Sorry Bobby, but hey! you like to race right?? he he he.

i read that you had to let off the gas & use the clutch when shifting the preadator. fix this problem & the preadator WILL BE THE UNDISPUTED CHAMP!

I guess there's a first for everything. I would never think you could add a pipe without re-jetting and gain performance. Has there been any other atv out there where you could do that? If there is, I can't think of one. But if I can add a WB slip on and gain performance with out re-jetting, all the better for us Predator owners.

For those who have the slip on, how much loader is it over stock with 6 disk? 6 disk seems to be the number everyone is useing.

4-strokes are much different than 2-strokes when it comes to adding good exhaust. There are actually times when the jetting has to leaned out because the carb signal and effeciency gets so much better it causes it to run richer. Unlike the 2-cycles when jetting up is usually the case. I have added a pipe on a thumper before and not need to change the jetting. It wasnt much of a motor, though.

You need to go to a 155 main jet when using the WB slip-on. It runs too lean otherwise. Rejetting made a noticeable difference. So don't think you can just bolt it on and go. Do it right and rejet to at least a 155 or 160 with airbox vents. There are several posts that cover this jetting question.

Bigger - I have not raced Vilnrk,,,, yet. I will be at Atoka on the 22nd for the test n tune sessions. If he's that close to you I may not want to!

Vilnrk - man, we really need to talk about this jetting deal. Did you read my other post about Little Sahara Sunday?

Thumper - I believed the same as you until Sunday. I proved that theory wrong. It took seeing and riding to believe it though!

Truckracer,

You need to get you a HSR42 mikuni carb. You may want to ask Dunedevil if he still has one left, he had 2. I think that carb would be a big improvment over your stocker,Plus thier easy to jet for Alky
