Default Magnum 330 4x4 opinions?

Thinking of making my 1st ATV a Magnum 330 4x4. I would greatly appreciate your opinions/experience with not only this model but also components shared with other models such as the automatic trans/belt system(reliable?). I will be using it exclusively for deerhunting. Thanks for the feedback!...Back40

My dad has a Magnum 325 4x4 and it has been a great machine for him. Never had any problems with it. He too uses it for deer hunting, and it does a great job of hauling big bucks out of the woods. I would however recomend that if you plan to do any amount of trail riding with it that you may want something with a little more power. Just my opinion. I know the new 330 should have a little more grunt than the old 325 so maybe you'll be alright. Try test riding one before you buy it if at all possible.

yea it does lack the power of the big dogs, but it goes anywhere and sometimes better. its really only bad on the speed side of things.

Thanks davis3340, I'm thinking of buying a 330 and was wondering about low end, does yours have that in low, enough to take two riders up steep hills ok. I don't go fast anyway. about motor noise, how many miles, any problems.

My wife has got a 2002 Mag 325.Its not a speed demon thats for sure.In low range, the thing is literally a tank. Will go anyplace you would want to.Low range will pull any hill a single rider would want to tackle.I wont ride two up on alot of steeper hills. And then theres the comfort.Excellent riding machine.I would have one myself if it had more power.

Default Magnum 330 4x4 opinions?

I just bought a Magnum 330 4x4 as my first ATV. Only have a couple of hours on it, but so far so good. I took it up some fairly steep trails with loose rock and left it in 2 wheel drive, no problem. Its a bit of a dog on the start but it does get moving pretty decent and my wife can handle it. I was also looking at a Yamaha Wolverine, my first choice, but went with the Magnum for the sole reason of the 2 wheel or 4 wheel drive option. The Wolverine is 4x4 all the time. I also looked at the Sportsman 500, but the salesreps told me that if I wasnt hunting and draging game out I really didnt need it. They said the Magnum would still haul about anything out if I did hunt, it just may take a little longer. Im happy with it, for now.
