Default Top End ??

2000 Polaris Scrambler 400 2x4 is needing a new top end, looking at going with the 84mm/.040, this will be its first one done to it, will there be any other work needed, other than boring the cylinder????? (I don't mean with bad jokes,ha)

Don't let the hp numbers fool you. Its all in how you get it to the ground. Clutching clutching clutching!

If this is the first bore on te motor I wouldnt go any further than I had to.If .020 will get it that saves the cylinder for another bore. You could get it ported if not at least clean up the castings and polish the ports.

I agree go with .20 it is better in the long run, and yes clean that thing up. A good trail port will do wonders for that 400, get yourself a pipe and clutch kit and ride on
