SP700racer..... Could you elaborate on how you adjusted your float level?
Mine is even ( Parellel ) with the body of the carb at the point that the tab is starting to depress the spring that is in the little valve thing. This is what the manual said to set it at.

Thanks..
Tres

Sounds like you are doing it correctly, here's an easy way to make sure its where it needs to be.
take the small clear hose that connects to the bottom of the carb, hold the end up above the carb(the end opposite of the carb). now loosen the carb drain screw to allow fuel to fill into the hose, fuel should be at least to the gasket where the float bowl bolts together. no lower than that.

G'day guys.
The rev limiter comes in about 9000rpm which is 500 odd rpm past peak torque. When I put the stock pipe back on, I took it too the rev limiter just to get a feel of it. There was no popping just stopped pulling, but before I hit it I could feel it go past the peak torque. So now thats where I now change gears.
This is polaris's problem to fix @ there cost.

P.s If any one wants a quite bike the stock pipe makes it one.

At least I have a great bike to still ride while I wait for them to fix the problem, & the front brake issue.

Thanks from down under Geoff.

I hate to sound stupid, but if you determine your float level is wrong, how do you adjust it?

Also, how do you keep from overadjusting so it begins losing fuel through the overflow on a slight slope or decline?

You have to bend the little tab where it connects to the carb. The airforce kit the super bike shops has for sale will have a float guage included in the kit. This kit will address all the problems everyone is having getting the pred. carb dialed in.

I just spoke to a local Polaris mechanic and he advised the problem only occurs at/near sea level, under 80 degrees temperature and only with the White Brothers silencer.

The fix is a 157.5 main jet and a 47.5 pilot jet.

Does this sound right to you guys?

Lucky me........
I'm in all those catagories...
I don't think it is as simple as that.
I have tryed every possible combination except the Superbike airbox kit
to no avail. My recomendation is to leave the thing stock until there are some
solid answers...... We knew we were buying a first year production bike now its going to take
time & patients as the various factions work out the bugs.
Until that time as I stated and unless you have hours of free time my suggestion would be to leave the
damn thing stock.

Tres, I just got home and checked my float level to make sure i told you right. the gas should be about a 1/4 inch above where the float bowl connects to the carb. If you look at the back of the carb there's a lip that run across the back, mine is even with it. hope this helps.
