Default Hub oil

I was looking at another post (actually a scan of the service manual) and it showed putting hub oil in at 4 o'clock. I was thinking I could put it in at 2 o'clock and let it drain at 4 o'clock will this work or should it be squirted in at 4 o'clock?

what you want to do if fill the hub enough so when you turn the fill hole to 4 o'clock the fluid starts to dribble out. the hubs do not take a lot of fluid.

Makes no difference at what position you put fluid into the hubs. If you put too much in, just let it drain down to the proper level @ 4 o'clock.
