New Trailblazer 250 !!
#1
Hi everyone,
Well, I bought the new T/B 250 for the wife yesterday....her first minute on it, riding up the street in the son's neighborhood, and she came back with her face all smiles..."I really like this! Let's go out now!" Well, we couldn't since it was near dark, and the Roy Jones fight was on Pay Per View!!! Anyway, I may have a new 'Mod Monster' on my hands, as the first thing she said when comparing all of our quads to hers was, "Where's my aluminum wheels?"
My real posting purpose now is ideas: What is the best break-in method you other T/B 250 owners have found? I really want this quad to last well and be a fun toy for her...
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks to all,
JJ

Usually the first full tank of gas is about all you need. NO full throttle at first
but don't let her baby it too much either. After the first full tank of gas she
can do about anything she wants.

THANKS!!!!! Thats a nice ride you have there!
I got my inspiration from guys like Modquad and x_scrambler3.
You can make the TB's into a very fast quad. Takes money but
it sure is great to see the looks from other quad riders of larger
displacement machines. "Thats not really a Trailblazer"
I just smile alot!!!

dude, i dont know about the others but i bought my t.b. last feb, and from the minute i got it home i rode it all out, i didnt baby it at all, safe to say there was no "break in period". i heard different things from different people. i opinion i chose, was break it in like you intend to ride it. over a year later and i have no idea how many miles, its huge im sure, and zero problems to date. only used my warranty twice, once a mad master cylinder, second busted a roller out of the chain.
you be the judge.

That break in period has alot of controversy you could say about it. Some people swear by one thing and others swear by the exact opposite. You can search around on the internet and find all kinds of pro's and con's of how to break one in. I have also heard that the motor is really broke in before It leaves the factory anyway, so who knows???? I think it is more a personal preference and what you feel comfortable with. It would probably be best to do it by the manual though and then you would be covering your butt for the warranty, but then how could they prove you did/didn't follow proper procedure? LOL

Good choice for a 4 wheeler for your wife - I know she's going to love it - I'm on my 2nd trailblazer - got a brand new one last year and I love it - we ride with all 4wd 4 wheelers so it does take a little getting used to on going up some of the hills without the 4 wd and I do tend to get stuck more often if going through water/mud but it's fun and it's so easy to manuever through the trails - tell her to be prepared to get good and muddy on it - everyone we ride with stays clean and i have mud from head to toe - but wouldn't be out riding if I was afraid of getting dirty -
