Will a trailblazer 400 win against a 400 ex or raptor?

No, the Trailblazer 400 is not a detuned Sport 400. The Scrambler 400 2x4 replaced the Sport 400, the Trailblazer 400 replaced the Scrambler 400 2x4. Each time the machine had modest upgrades made to them, so the Trailblazer is more like an updated version of the Sport 400.
Now, the polaris 2 stroke 400 motor IS severely detuned in stock form, but is easily awaken with the mods.

What Bubba said!!!!
In stock form the 400 TB is just slightly slower to about 40mph.
But with just a pipe and clutch kit it will beat the 400ex until the ex hits top gear, in a long race.
I beat a z400 bad with a bad rider and still (much closer) with a good rider on the Z, with just my trail pipe and clutching.
Now with my trail mod it wouldnt even be close.
Bottom line get a pipe and clutch kit for the TB, at least.
It has 36 hp at the crank stock.

I think the polaris 2 stroke 400 is one of the best engines polaris has ever made, my Xpress 400 will hang right with my buddys 400ex until he hits 5th gear then he's problably about 5mph faster on top. Not bad for a heavy utility quad.

My 400 will hit just under 66 mph on the gps, and I weigh close to 300 lbs! Mods: different primary spring, no snorkel, k&n, aluminum wheels, tweaked jetting, and a fmf muffler.
