scrambler handle bars shaky

when ever im sitting on it and playing with my handle bars they shake alot i took my front tire off and was moving it and the handle bars where shaking from movig the black part of the hub on the front tire does anyone no what is the matter i just put some moose handle bars on aand tightend everything thanks

The whole steering set up is weak on Polaris. In order to keep cost down they use a soft metal with plastic bushings. If your use to the tight feel of a pure sport quad you will need to upgrade your steering system.
New steering stem, handle bar clamps, handlebars, tie-rod ends (Hiem style), upper & lower steering stem support blocks. Adding a footpeg kit (attaches to floorboards) and brake seperator kit will give you more control when your riding aggressive. Check with Hot Seat Performance for parts.
Also, Works Performance front struts and PEP rear re-build with HD springs all around is the hot set up for your suspension.

Question for you scram people.
When I look at the front of my scram, it seems the tires are pointing out (left tire pointing left, right/right), (tires not parallel)
Is this correct, or do I need an allignment?
What is the proper allignment procedure?

Hello Bing,
If you are standing in front of the bike, the tires should point out in the front of the tire 1/16 to 1/8 of an inch.
I may have asked you before, but I have a manual for this machine that I no longer need. Let me know if you would like to buy it.

Thanks Predator!! They look funny, but the tires seem to wear just fine.
I am currently trying to download the manual from Polaris.
Someone (forgot his screenname) in another post clued me on to it. Apparently you can download a manual for any bike,,,for free. (part diagrams and all)
I havent been successful yet.

That link goes to the parts manual for all their machines. I have the actual SERVICE manual, similar to a Chiltons for a vehicle. It shows you the parts, but also tells you how to repair and or replace them. It came in handy a couple of times. We have one for our Sportsmans, it has been a life saver. If you don't do any of your own work, then you don't need one. I'm too stubborn to take it to the dealer if I can fix it.
