BigBadBrad,

I'd have to agree with that for this weekends adventure.

I drowned mine out in a creek in the first 5 minutes of my ride. I was barely able to keep it running while they pulled me out. After about a good 10 minutes of barely chugging along the ole 300 finally started reving up Ok. We continued on with our ride. I did notice that it was a little rich now for the 70 degree heat but still running OK. Well, an hour or so after the creek incident, we all pulled out on a road. The four other people took off. When I tried, all I got was a whole lot a detonation. The harder I pushed it, the worse it got. So I let off the throttle, it was still there. Now, no matter where the throttle was it was detonating. Which in this case means that my engine is running very lean. The engine would not shut off with the kill switch and in a 15 short more seconds it finally stopped. For good. I believe that once the hole blew through the piston and messed up a main bearing, she was finally able to take her last breath. Poor ole girl. What a way to go. Brething in a deadly gas mixture until your insides get all eaten away to the point you can no longer breath.

I guess its going to be time for a spring time overhaul. I wonder, how much horsepower do I want to end up with this time?

Wow, I just noticed that I'm featured in the gallery today. Kind of like a memorial for my lost one. I'll have to get my pictures updated once I get her nursed back to good health. it has different wheels and tires along with some other stuff.

It really doesn't bother me all that bad. I don't mind working on it. This was an enjoyable hobby until I made it my career. The money part of it sucks a little. Thank god I get a good deal on parts. Besides this wouldn't be the first time. The first time it blew out the exhaust gasket. This let dirt get into my exhaust port and chewed some things up.
