Well, for the tank, I will say this...I got it slowed down to 40 before I connected. I was racing a guy around a curve, lost traction, and couldn't get it shut down. If I had straightend out I would have gone off a 6ft. drop into a rusty junk pile. But there were 2 smaller trees, aimed bet. them. Took out the rack, the tires split, ripped off the a arms and the struts, but the radiator and frame were untouched, they went bet. the trees. $2000 for a new front end, thank god for insurance...and helmets!! Oh yeah, It's still a great farm machine and we still have it...it has 8,000 miles on it and running strong, haven't toched the engine or tranny yet, but one of these days I prob. should redo the top end with that many miles on it!

I take it that Iron River is in Wisconsin. I ask becuz I live real close to that area. Hayward is about 17 miles SE of where I live as well. That sure seems a long way to travel to go riding. Those trips must have cost a small fortune. I am so glad I don't have a camera with me when I ride. Then the wife would see how I rode that day. I doubt she would see all the fun that was had. 4wheelin,
You are correct, it's Iron River, WI. Every summer we go to hayward to vacation for 4 days with our quads. We live in NE Iowa, so Hayward is about a 5 hr. drive. The trip really isnt that expensive. With all costs accouted for including gas, food, and hotel, each guy walks away paying under $200. Usually we can get even cheaper than that if we get more people in a room and take fewer vehicles. But it's always a blast. We carry the camera so we can show others what we've been through, but the camera never does the situation justice!!....Unless it's a crash pic!

I agree. A pic is a split second out of the experience as a whole.. Ya got some good ones on the site though. I was out today on mine and got buried in the mud under the wet snow because I got in a rut that was concealed and quite deep. Had to use the winch to get out. My funning boards were so iced up after that I fell off the machine farther down the trail when I stood up on them to check condition of the trail in front of me. I had to get up and chase the darn thing. I had fun though, and again if my wife seen that on video I would be grounded from riding for awhile.... lol Life is great sometimes. Today was one of those times even though the weather was crappy, I had a blast all by myself just going wheelin. Later, Brian

What time in the summer do you plan on going to wisconsin this year? If you are planning to go some time in July. Call me. The week of the fourth of July would be a great week for me. Since Bago is shut down that weekend.
