spreading lime
#2
deerhuntersp700,
sorry i don't have an answer for you question? we always borrow a spreader from one of the local farmers and us a small farmall tractor. if the area is back in the woods some where we (hunting club) took and small disc and put wheels on and hooked that to the 4 wheeler and then just casted the lime and fertilzer out by hand. What kind of food plots and you planting? I'm getting ready to start planted mine too? I tried what they called "cowpeas" last year after a hard frost burnt my BioLogic clover up and the deer mowed then things down like a lawnmower. I did use anymore lime or fertilizer or even try to sow them. Just casted them on the ground and them things shot up like a weed. and the deer kept coming to them!! good luck and good huntin'

hew dbass . trying a new product from whitetail inst. called power plant, mixture of beans and peas.suppose to grow very fast. know for sure sowbeans do not last long! also use different clover blends. best tling i have ever used is biologic new zealand blend, grows pretty fast deer wear it out! got about 3 acers in old logged area.entire farm is 1250 acers.only acess to some of it is atv with small disc.my problem is 11 tons of lime to got there and spread!! think by hand might be the only way.. :

Man that's alot of lime. I saw where Lowe's had a nice looking spreader in there sale paper yesterday. It was a 125 lb capacity spreader. Looked like a quality built spreader. May be worth checking out. Good Luck. I may try some new plots this year also. Tecemonte seeds.
