For all Predator owners...

I think it's going to be a VERY fun summer! I can't wait to get out and show all these non-believers that Polaris CAN build an ATV that can compete (and beat) their best. Since I can't seem to post pictures on this site, check out predator500dotcom. I've got a picture of my digitach. It works awesome! I had to relocate switches though (am working on a custom billit aluminum piece to replace what's scene in the picture). Also I've got the pipe and jetting combo working well for me. I wanted the satisfaction of jetting it myself (rather than buying the Airforce kit) and have succeded. My TLD runs great. No missing or hesitation all the way up to 9000rpm. I have not experienced any of the other problems some of you have had (ball joints, popping, head cracking), I think that some of these problems are very isolated and shouldn't cause everyone to panic. Work with your dealer, and if they won't work with you, find another one. Remember, the lowest price doesn't gurantee the best service after the sale! The guys @ SPORT RIDER are great! No B.S. and very friendly.

I think the Predator is an awsome quad. My cousin recently bought one, but it's not faster than my brother's Raptor. They're both stock and they're dead even going all out! It usually comes down to a fast start or missed shift. Not that it really matters to me, I'm eating their dirt in my Scrambler 500 4x4. Thinking about getting a pipe, not sure it's worth it. Maybe I'll just get a new quad (Kawasaki V Force?). Anyway , you'll definitely have fun on the Predator!

G'day expert140.
A few questions for you.
What model digitach is it?
Is it downloadable?
Where did you get the spout for your w/b can?
What elevation are you at?
What jetting / needle setup do you run?
Congratulations on being able to find a good setup.
Thanks mate,Geoff.

The tach is model number DT31SN from hotseatperformance.com. Price is about $270. It is programable for any motor two or four stroke. It also has a backlit display and memory. It is not able to hook up to a computer( that model was A LOT more $$). The stinger on the exhaust is a White Brothers design and I got it through Parts Unlimited. Price was about $32. Tuning with this stinger The elevation here is 900ft above sea level. The only jetting I have done is go to a 160 main. I've tried changing the needle setting but every time it responds poorly. I am however going to drill out the plug for the air/fuel mixture adj. and fiddle with that to help the idle. My airbox has been modified, but differently than the Airforce kit. Same idea, just looks stealthy. As the weather warms up(the 160 main was for 40degrees and colder) I will probably jet down. I have no exact numbers, but it is faster and more responsive than stock. That's all I was hoping for.

you mean you're running a DIGATRON on a predator?cool!
i have one on my modded scrambler 400 since 2 season yet,it tell you by digital accurency, the rpm,egt temp.
i can also set a EGT'S temp limit on mine to not burned down my engine,
as soon the temp limit is reach, the whole tach is flashing out, very cool goodies.
