which one to get?
I have decided to buy a sp 500 H.O. this saturday (2003). called my dealer to tell him I was coming to pick it up. He told me he had the 2004 models in. Does any body know if there is a big difference between the two.

Hey iggy,
The only difference I saw were the following:
2004
- black rims on the tires
- new set up on the tachometer (inside is different and it is tilted more towards the driver)
- the word POLARIS is on both sides of the seat
- different logo on sides of quad
- new front end
- the 500's never had rack extenders...that was the 600/700
The other reason I went for the 04 was the fact that the 2003's probably have been sitting in a crate out back for over a year. Not a big reason, but still a thought! They'll probably give you a better deal on the 03's now that the 04's have arrived?
