Hey,
was wondering which bike is the fastest and in what category would either be best in.
Please keep the bashing to a minimum and say stuff you've experienced, not that u think.
Thanks

One of my buddies has a DS and I rode it and the power is most definately there! When you set the two bikes side by side the DS is so much bigger than the Pred. By that I mean in size. I still like me Pred better, but I guess you could say that is because I own the Pred. Can't say a whole lot more as I only rode it for a short distance and never pushed any kind of envalope with it, so I do not know how well it corners or anything. If you are into sand dunes, you might like the DS better as this is what the bike is kind of catered to. If doing a lot of MX riding go with the Pred!

I should be able to give you a lot better idea of the differences soon, my friend is getting rid of his P.O.S. Raptor and getting a DS. He's a bigger guy and I think he is going to like the DS better than his Raptor.

Hey Tyrespinner,
I owned both at the same time for awhile, so I'll do my best to give you an unbiased opinion. These bikes are very different animals, so a direct comparison is difficult. It all depends what you want to do with the bike as to which one is "better" (I hate that word because it can be so subjective). Both bikes are very powerful and fast. They are so close in top speed that it is not really useful to compare them. Acceleration wise, I would have to give the edge to the Predator.....it feels "snappier". Stability, no question, goes to the DS (it is HUGE and WIDE). Suspension....well, that depends. The predator is quicker/sharper handling, and although I don't MX, I think the Predator would be better there. For wide open dunes or desert or open trail riding, the DS is better. Weight, obviously the Predator wins there, The DS is a total PIG (I don't necessarily mean that in a bad way....remember, the DS is built like a brick **** house). Comfort/ergonomics, I'd have to give the edge to the DS because of its plush suspension, and waaaaaay comfy seat. If you are a very large rider, I would say the DS is slightly better only because of it's stature. The same goes for the Predator if you aren't a huge person. Reliability, well The Predator has yet to be time tested, but so far reliability looks promising. The DS is a "Rock of Gibralter" in the ATV world. The motor has been around for awhile, and has racked up an impressive reliability record. They just don't usually break unless severely abused. I really don't think you could go wrong with either of these quads. Buy the one you "like", and don't worry about it. So there you have it. I hope I have helped.

I own a DS and I love it. I went to a dealership that my buddy owns and rode a Predator. I'm very impressed with the Predator. It's a very quick quad and handles great to boot. I'm definitely going to stick with the DS (love the gobs of torque, suspension, stability, HP & seemingly unlimited power potential), although if I were to add a second quad to my garage it would either be another DS (stictly drag setup) or a Predator. Polaris really did their homework and deserve nothing but kudos for the Predator. Ride them both and then decide. I don't think that you could regret your decision either way.
Hope this helps.
