[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] The 700 Sportsman is very de-tuned, and the point I was emphasizing was that if something is that heavy, I wan't a button that says 4 Wheel Drive to push.

 

A good friend of mine owns the local drag strip, he is trying to put together a big event for ATV's this summer, I will give you a call when things get a bit more organized. I look foward to getting up with some fast bikes to race with. There is a guy who lives a couple hours south of me in Montgomery that has a 686 with the trail port. I may have to sneak down and try him out, just to see if this thing will even be competitive. But I have to plan a road trip to the "Trailer Park" just to check it out.

All are welcome. I am going to head to flagstaff AZ over memorial day. I am to the point now that i do not mind losing. If somebody is faster i know they have oine heck of a quad and i tip my hat to them.

Modquad- I could see that 700 was detuned, but still surprised that it made less than 4 morehp over the 500ho. It had a lot more torque over the 500. I have had the chance lately to ride a lot of different quads.

 

That's the way it's supposed to be, HP for the Sports, and torque for the Utilities. I can see someone didin't hang around any NHRA functions growing up. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] Oh, the way those 455 Buicks used to launch.

 

Thunderalley, is that the race at the end of June ? If so, I will be there. I was a professional drag racer on the mustang circut for about 5 years. I enjoy trveling around and racing and all the bs talk that goes with it. I am like 14MINS, I don't mind getting beat, I just love the thrill of racing and all the BS talking that goes with it. So please don't take anything I might say personal, it's all in fun. look foward to seeing you there.
