motor seized?

motor seized?
just got back from riding and had a major problem. while powersliding, the rear wheels locked up and made me superman, hurting my shoulder and ribs. the motor is locked up. any suggestions what might have happened? there is plenty of oil in the machine so i don't thing it is a piston seizure, maybe a snapped timing chain? brining it to the dealer tommorow or tuesday depending on how i feel. i even took out the sparkplug and tried to roll it without compression, no luck any suggestions??

When you try to roll it back and forth ... does the engine turn at all ... and then lock up...
or is it locked the emergency brake is set ???
What size quad ???

2003 predator. locked like not moving at all, moves in neutral, but won't push start. the motor is locked tight forward and reverse. bringing it to dealer tuesday, could barly get it to the garage bymyself. thanks for the sympathy!

That sounds bad dude! Most likely should be repaired under warranty. But you better let us know what happened, or A: you will make us pred owners nervous, and B: the raptor guys might start pointing and laughing, and we don't want that!

About how many hours do you have on your quad?
Have you been changing the oil and filter every 10 hours?
And what kind of oil are you using?
When you find out PLEASE LET US KNOW, my 6mth warrenty is going to be up in about a month and a half and I need to decide if I should buy an extended plan. Sounds like I should.

Someone else had that. Turned out to be a bolt inside the trans on the 4th gear. Said it was a simple fix. Please post what you find.

no its not 4th gear. the whole motor is locked in every gear! hopefully going to the dealer today.then again maybe the whole trans is locked? who knows, but i hope to find out real soon thats why i bought the 5 year warranty, does that cover parts and labor? or just parts???on an extended warranty, what is covered?parts, labor or both????? thanks
