Which bike do you have? I have the 400 and I don't think that it is too loud. I have a Fmf TCII silencer that is also a spark arester and seems to help keep the noise down. The trail pipe on the 400 is outstanding. I love the power that it gave me. I chose the HPD plain spring cause of the lower engagement. The top speed isn't that much different from stock on my bike but boy does it get there faster. Putting on the pipe wasn't too bad. The only thing that was kind of a pain was trimming the pipe guard but not too bad. I hope you like it . Shawn.
