Sounds like your 4wd may be locking in on one side intermittingly. Try raising the Sportsman off the ground, all 4 wheels off, and see if one front tire is locking in once in a while. If it is check for oil in the hub and change it if it hasn't been changed in a while. Inspect everything inside well while you have it apart. That should fix it unless it is a mechanical problem inside the hub, If it is, come back for more info.

this happened to mine, you can normaly goose it in reverse to disengage the hub. (hold the reverse override button down) and yes, change your hub fluid. if you ride in lots of mud & water i would suggest removing the entire hub & cleaning it well in addition to changing the fluid regularly.

Hello, may also be an alignment issue. While your atv is raised on jack stands, center the handlebars. Both fron tires should be slightly toed in. Check your service manual for details.

It might be the driver who seems to not be able to steer. Ive never had trouble with either of you machines and ive done some pretty nasty stuff on them too.

i just think the steering is finally unbalanced it could be from u hitting foot tall stumps. It is prolly a tie rod.
