What it really happening is as the air gets colder the molecules get smaller. So you get more air in, thus the leaning out

Actually the molecules don't shrink there is just more of them in a given cube of "air".

Yeah...molecules dont change size...They are just packed closer thus being more dense.

here's a question for you...When a substance gets colder, the molecules get closer together right? So why is it that water expands when it freezes????

been working on this one for a while, just cant think of a logical explanation...

Just make sure that you are not dropping much in elevation either when you are running either early in the day or night, as lower elevation plus colder air is sure to get you lean..

I bet you are over jetted, do a plug check. WOT hit the kill-leave the throttle wide open till you coast to a stop (Or Brake) and check the plug...... to bad it is hard to see the piston for a good look at the piston wash, as this will tell way more than a plug.

Maddog, don't remember that one from chemistry, was it something to do with oxygen being a diatomic molecule? Ever notice how ice can "evaporate"? Another water wonder. Almost makes you want to pull out the books again....almost.
