all of the above sound great.
how about:
duck tape
roll of toilet paper in a ziplock bag.
compass
cell phone
hand-held mirror
first aid kit
anti-bear spray
blanket.
those are some of the things in my tool kit in addition to the items listed above.

Seriously have some duct tape available. On a long ride plastic can break for what ever reason. Many things on your quad are probably made of the composite so its a good idea. If the roll is too big just take along some medical tape it works pretty well to...Plus u can use it as bandaides.

As far as tools go take the tools needed to do repairs on the trail not a total rebuild. What I'm trying to say is sit down and think of just what your capable of fixing on the trail and go through the steps at home and the tools you need to accomplish said task stay with the quad. As well pack pliers and adjustable wrench just to be safe. I always bring a couple of nuts and bolts as well. Duck tape and wire are a must. Servival gear depends on how comfortable you want to be

jumper cables - I drowned my 2stroke and wore the battery down trying to get it started again
Lucky for me a buddy had a set and we got it going again - so now i made a smaller set and carry them
with me all the time.

How about a can of carburator cleaner for when you do drowned it out
you can use it like ether. Be sure to put the 12volt air pump in a baggie to
keep water out. otheriwse it won't work.

Hey you guys and girls have been great on answering my request for a proper tool kit. I think one should be careful with the carb. cleaner to help starting as too much may damage an engine.
