Help with Scrambler 90
I bought my son a used 01 scrambler 90 last spring, it has beeen a good bike, but I noticed that it has been leaking out tranny fluid.. When I bought it the previous owner had lost the owner's manual.. Does anyone happen to know how much tanny fluid this machine will hold? Also where is the drain plug located, so that I may replace the fluid with new?? Any help would be greatly appreciated...Thanks in advance..

The dipstick is to short to get the tranny fluid to register on it. Put a small drain pan under tranny and drain, put drain plug back on but leave the drain pan there. Pour in tranny fluid (that you have previously purchased from polaris) until it starts to come out the overflow. The overflow is located on backside of tranny, there is a little plastic tube pointing down. Thats all there is to it. The fluid is purple so if the old fluid that comes out is white and thick thats from water getting into the overflow. I have experienced that on a 2001 50 and 90 scrambler. One other thing if your brake light stays after having the machine for awhile there is a plunger switch on the back brake lever, you can squirt some wd-40 or graphite into it instead of buying a new brake lever, which polaris will gladly sell you. Good luck.

Help with Scrambler 90
Less than a quart. You might be able to ask at a polaris dealer about correct amount. I have asked questions before and found that the polaris mechanics are not always helpful..... Here's another tip; The 2 stroke oil resevoir has a rubber cap that does not always seal and if the atv is rolled it can empty out pretty quick.. There is a new resevoir out that has a screw on cap that works a lot better. I think the tank is $16.00 and the cap is $7.50 from polaris. I hope this info is helpful.... good luck.
