I just replaced my right rear hub on my magnum 8 days ago because all the teeth were ground down to nothing. The same thing happened today and i was taking it easy on the 4wheeler too. What should i doo. I am gonna call the dealer and ask for my money back or something but can i weld it to the axle. Is the axle on a 96 425 magnum a split axle. The teeth on the axle are still good i checked them.

But if the axle is grinding the teeth out of the hub, silicone isn't going to really help. Sounds to me like either the hub wasn't tightened all the way, or it's the wrong hub for that axle. I spun the stock hub off my Scrambler, and found a wrecked one with great hubs. Bought both, put one on, and after riding it for about an hour, noticed that it was loose. The nut didn't back off, the hub just moved closer in. After tightening it again, I've not had a problem after that. Did your dealer install the hub for you? I sure would go back and show him what it did, bring the bike along, he has the proper calaper that the axle should be incase it's off, or to match up the new hub.
