Do the fox struts first, big improvment over stock Then if you want get the hot seat spring kit.

Works performance struts are less expensive and people here on the forum seem to preferr them over Fox.

Check w/ modquad on this forum he has a set of fresh Fox struts w/ the springs for $170. He's reputable and you dont need to worry about buying from him.

His e-mail is: jetblast@isd.net

I had works struts on my scrammy before I sold it. Huge improvement. I had it set up for an XC/MX mix, so you could take 40ft. tables without fear of eating handlebars on the landing. And at trail speeds, you don't even feel the roots. Check out the Works Performance Website, find the phone number and give them a call. With shipping, it will cost $250 for the front pair, which is real close to the fox struts. The difference is the works is progressive dampning, so the more you compress, the more it resists. It's really hard to bottom out these struts. Great ride. And it uses the stock springs and even adds 1" of travel which is a bonus. Installs in 30 min. Do a search in the polaris forum, for some more posts. I'm sure the fox would work well too, but if you call works, they ask you your weight and riding style and set it up according to you, and if you don't like it, they will revalve the first time for free to perfect it for you. And they are completely rebuildable. You can't go wrong, and they're worth every $$. I found myself pushing myself harder and faster on trail just because the ride had improved so much!! Good Luck.
