Default Tips for Grips

So just to be clear. I should make a hole in the grip that I am putting on and put an air nozzle in there and blow, while plugging the other end of the bars. Interesting I just gotta find an airgun now.

Most grips already have holes in them, if yours doesn't I don't know that I would go and poke a hole in it.

I use one of the wal-mart specials that has a small end. One set of grips didnt have the holes so I did make a small hole in one. It doesnt take much. I gues NC must be a hard core rider or something.LOL I have also used the hairspray trick. It will hold pretty well too.

I have always just used soapy water and they slide on very easy. After 12 hrs or so, the water has evaporated and they are not coming off unless you blow or cut them. The only grips that do not stay in place are the hard ones and will require some sort of adhesive. The soft rubber ones all work with soap and water.

If you do use the soapy water, done it in a pinch when a compressor wasn't around. You can speed "cure" time up by leaving the machine sit in the sun...speeds that evaporation.

i use a little shot of spraypaint inside the grip, then slide it right on. when the paint dries, they're "glued" on.
works great!

Easy tip as I use it for my golf glub grips, and you don't want them sliding off!!!!!!!

I use paint thinner, about a capfull in the grip, hold your finger over the small hole in the bottom, swish the grip around to distribute the thinner-slide the new grip on, and leave it for about a hour----when the thinner evaporates it pulls the grip into the bar.......holds like steel
