Default four stroke tech

I have been trying to figure out what big bore kit i am going to get, i decided to go with FST, that 530 kit that was in the may 2003 atv action (thanks for pointing that out mickey) it seems to be what i need, more low end without going crazy with boring out alot,to make something like the 580, also it is re nikasil plated, not sleeved

dunlap,if you read this when you get the top end of a predators engine from wisconsin what do you say ya bump it to the front of the line huh? maybe add in an extra 75 cents to ease the way to the front,a little bribe,
obviously i am just kidding, i am just going to be eager to get my predator beefed up, and not riding for a few weeks will really suck, hopefully i get it back before the end of may, i have a week off from work june 9th and would love to go duning again (mudstud you out there?)

anyone else have this kit yet? what do you think should be next? all i have is the WB slip on and a k&n filter, maybe i need a high flow intake? or maybe a carb to take advantage of the extra power? any tips?

I read the article and it all looks cool. But the one thing I noticed is that they were running race gas with it, which can be a pain if you are just a trail rider looking for more power. Just a thought.

in the atv action it say Blueprint porting 150.00, bore cylinder & re-Nikasil 200.00, cometic gasket set 50.00, FST/wiseco 11:1 piston 210.00, high flow intake tube 25.00, FST jet kit 15.00

by the way, what is a high flow intake tube? not sure if i want to get that part or not

do you have to do anything with your valves after you put this kit in?

You can run 93 or 94 unleaded but if you mix 50% leaded 108 with it,your motor will run stronger and longer. You don't have to do anything to your valves unless they need reshiming which is the way you adjust your valves.

to put together a four stroke motor it is a little complicated, the predator you definatly need a manual, certain things have to line up, there are markings on the timing chain, the clutch needs to come out. its not like a 2 stroke at all. i would look into putting in a hinson basket and new high performance clutches since they have to out anyway. if you need the diagram from the manual let me know, you'll need it if doing it yourself.
