Default SON OF A B@#!H!!!

Anybody that has had the Predator Carb apart has seen that nice plastic slide (aka piston valve per sevice manual) Well be careful as you put it back together. The 4 little plastic tabs that the plug (that holds the jet needle) snaps into are brittle. I had one break on mine last weekend. Upon landing of a 50 ft tabletop my quad started spiting and sputering and finally totally die'd. Couldn't get it restarted so we tow'd it back to the pits so I could figure out what was going on. I took the top cover off carb and found the plug and the needle pushed up & out of their slot in the center of the slide. I guess when I had moved the clip postion a few weeks back I must have weaken one off the tabs when I put it back together. It had ran fine, I was at he track for a couple of hours before it broke. Got one order'd and call'd my dealer today to check on it and they said it was on back order. Man this is getting old real fast.. Polaris needs to get their heads out of their a$$'s and get parts to their dealers. Hopefully I won't have to wait 6 weeks like I did for a rear sprocket. Anyways be careful with the slide cause if you break one your SOL!!

That carb is a real joke, I hope the aftermarket sets up a non cv type asap. Mine's going in the trash as soon as something better is available.....

I agree with your statement about the dealers getting pred parts in stock. I finaly got some oil for mine two weeks ago. I asked them how many quarts the had and said only 4.. So I bought all 4 considering they dont know how long it will be before they get more in.." Come on now " its only oil. As for the filters, another story

You said it and I've been saying it all along too! I, just last week, finally got my two quarts of oil and a filter and an o-ring. Of course I ordered six quarts and three filters and o-rings. I suppose they had many other requests for the oil & filters so they only gave me enough for one oil change. SUCKS! I have been using Amsoil 10-40 and the oil filter for the Honda 400EX. Funny how Polaris wants to sell me a machine, but I need to use everyone else's lubricants and filters for maintenance. I would think that oil & filters make money for the dealers too, so one would think that they too, are feeling a little bummed about the back order thing. I had ordered Pro Armor nerfs for the thing too cause there is such a back order. I sure my dealer is pissed.
