Default compression for a trail blazer

Does anybody know what the compression should be? It's starting to get to be hard to start and smoking a bit more than usual. Thanx.

When you say minimum, do you mean at 115 it's time for a rebuild? Or is this the
compression off the showroom floor?

That means it is time for a rebuild for a stock bike if it is lower than 115psi. A bigger bore bike on the other hand would be ok with that compression. Add a small amount of oil through the spark plug hole and If the compression rises, you need new rings.

Thanks for the info. Do you know what the compression for a new Trailblazer should be? I'm gonna test it tomorrow morning and would like something to compare it with. I know a stock Banshee is 130 per cylinder and below 100 its time for a rebuild, for example.

According to my Polaris manual, unless they have changed it, all Polaris's should be at least 115 psi.

The stock compression is between 130-135psi. It will still run good at 115 but harder to start. Anything below 100 will run like crap. Below 80 it will not run at all. It is an older bike so maybe a rebuild is near or you just need to change the plug, clean carburator and check your jetting.
