I have a Predator 500 and my little brother wants a predator to but i think he needs a 90 casue he is small and young. What is the top speed of the Predator 90

 

Stock Pred 90 speed with the CDI jumper installed is 15 mph. Remove the jumper and you get 30 mph. Add a good pipe, clutch kit, and a Scrambler 90 CDI and you'll be pushing 40 mph. Good luck!

 

wow dont get the pred 90 it only goes 38 stock go with n lt80 45 stock n its great starter quad

 

i have a predator 90. my son races it in the sand drags pee wee class. stock off the show room floor it goes 11 mph top speed. take off the cdi limiter and it goes 25mph top speed. i don't see how you figure they go 30. the lights and time slips don't lie so 25 is top speed on flat dirt, sand.

although i hear by just installing a pipe its good for 4 mph gain.

btw my son only weighs 55 pounds.

wher is the cdi jumper? and how do I remove it? Thanks for the info.

 

the cdi box is just above the carburator kinda next to the steering stem just under the gas tank. it is held in place with a rubber grommet. pull it loose and you will see the 2 screws, loosen the sscrews and slide out the metal jumper, tighten up the screws so they dont fall out. thats all there is to it. it gives it like 3 times the power it had.

Does the scrambler 90's have this same jumper?? My son has an 01 scrambler...

 

all i know to tell you is look at the cdi for the metal tab and 2 screws, other than that i dont know.

There is a guy here in Mesa, AZ that claims his Pred 90 will do 50-55 with a pipe, cdi, and a little head work. I was just talking to him the other day and this was his claim. The pip he is selling is about 250.00 and did not look too bad. He has extended a-arms and lots of other cool stuff for these little quads. The name of the shop is Eastside Performance. I will try and get the website and phone number posted asap.
