Does it shift nice?

One mag said it has an inaccurate transmission.
missed shifts, false neutrals.

Has anyone had this problem.

In my experience, it may not be as smooth as many others when shifting from 1-2, but as you ride it, it smoothens out. Some have experienced bent shifting forks which led to rounded of cogs and loosing of gears. But this was the direct result of trying to powershift while racing. If you shift with your clutch everytime, it will be a very reliable machine for you!!

Of course I own the pred, of course I'm gonna say buy one...but I also really like my buddies raptor...if only I could afford both. I guess if you are looking to buy, ride both, do some homework, and consider what you are going to do with this machine...trials, woods, dunes, racing?? If you are a pure trail rider, I think you may like the raptor better because it has very plush suspension and reverse, but the pred turns extremely tight, and is also pretty light, so you won't miss the lack of reverse. If you do some extreme jumping or play racing, then the pred may be more your style. For the money, they are both worth it and are very reliable, as long as you don't pick up an '01 rappy!! Ride them both, maybe go to a local atv park and con some nice guys into a test ride, and pick from there. You will like them both and both are great...I guess you just have to mount up and see which one gives you the biggest joygasm...!! Ride on!!
