price, reliability, power is what im looking for. i like to ride trails fast, but like to have plent of room to be comfortable if i choose to ride two up. i like to drop in the occational mud hole, but by no means am i a hard core mudder. im leaning towards the foreman, but i own a rancher now, and have never owned anything but hondas. i love my rancher but it just seems too small.

Hmmm, the vote thing didn't work, but I can say I'm happy with the new Rancher 420 riding 2-up with my wife ... see my photos.

If you want reliability, I'd recomend the sprtsman, they are very well made and capable. We have an 04 Sportsman 700 that we have never had a problem with, and its fast. It's also the most comfortable ATV I have ever been on, It's like riding your sofa around, and if you get a newer one, you can get the lock and ride back rest, which is also quite comfortable.

Mykool, an important consideration is how large you and your wife are. I'm 160 lbs., and my wife is about 115, and we do fine on our Rancher 420. I do notice the extra power and acceleration when she's not on the back, but it's fine just trail riding together 2-up. If you folks are much larger than us, it would make a difference.

YAMAHA 700 IS GOOD BIKE BUT, ALWAYS IS TIPPY IN TURNING. INSIDE WHEEL UP FRONT IS LIFTING. VERY SHORT SEAT VERY SOFT SEAT , INJECTION IS GREAT. BAD VIBRATION ON IDLE -SMOOTHS OUT WITH THROTTLE PRESS. IN GENERAL A GOOD BIKE . IF YOU LIKE SINGLE CYLINDER, THE PLASTIC FENDER IS VERY SOFT ON REARS AND BENDS IN WHEN SITTING OVER THEM. POWER STEERING IS TOTALLY EXCELLENT ! THATS TEH BEST THING THEY HAVE GOING FOR THEM . IMO
