Just so everyone knows. I was climbing a hill on my big bear 400 locked in 4wd and the front end started to come up, I stoped and started to slide down the hill backward grabed the front brake and because it was in 4wd the back brake also locked up and over It went on top of me one time and then 4 more rolls down to the bottom

About 4 hours ago! Not all the way over this time, but stood the Popo on it's nose. Operator error and DUMB. Just pulled my daughter-in-law out of a mud hole with the winch. Used the reverse override lockout switch I just installed. leaned over the front to watch the winch cable into the winch, and hit the throttle with my leg. The really stupid part was it was just one of those dumb not thinking things. I should have had the bike in park, NOT REVERSE!!! Who says a Sportsman 800 can't pull a wheelie, but BACKWARDS!!! Dumped me over, or I should say through the bars and finished with a great face plant! Scratched up helmet, sore legs, headach, and busted throttle. Anybody know where I can take pottery lessons, I think I need a new hoby!!!

Randy, That's hilarious......I had a ATC 110 and flipped that thing a couple of times. What a dangerous machine it was with no front brake. Once I tried to run up a way too steep and long hill and ran out of guts about 3/4 of the way up. Let off the throttle for a millisecond and it's running in reverse at high speed.....try to stop it with the brakes (rear) and over it goes. I distictly remember that thing landing on my body and being in so much pain as I (and the 110) tumbled to the bottom, into a pile of rocks. No fun. Then it wouldn't start, and I had to hitch hike home. I did love that thing though...had a blast on it when it wasn't on top of me.

I started riding with a chest protector that's got shoulder pads. Reading all these posts and remembering my own accidents reminds me why I need to wear it. Supposedly the blood flow in and around tendons / ligaments dries up around 30 years old.
