I'm a die hard gm man and I love the new camaro, but I don't think it will last. GM removed camaro and firebird from production because it wasn't selling enough. Now they are going to reintroduce the camaro and the baseline v6 car costs as much as a baseline mustang gt. I don't know why chevrolet won't cut some of the fat(interior features) off the camaro's price to compete with the mustang. You can get a baseline gt for around 30K and the z28 is supposed to start in the high 30's. It is supposed to kill the mustang(performance), but the price will kill the car. If you are not a chevy purest, why would you spend just as much for a v6 camaro that you can get a v8 mustang for? Although I think the new camaro is sexxy as hell, I'd rather spend 10k more and buy a vette that is truly an engineering marvel. The baseline vette is awesome: Z06 and ZR1 is unreal. Yes, more impressive than a viper.

I was glad when we quit making Camaros and Firebirds. If you spent all day tossing hundreds of rear frame rails around you'd be happy to see them go too. The ZR1 makes the Viper it's b*tch and it's a comfortable ride too. THAT'S performance worth paying for.

i guess motor trend is wrong, thats what they said 2 yrs ago at the first unveiling. I can't beilieve your prices anyway, gm has always been at least 4-8k more expensive mustang vs. camaro. Thats why the mustang has always outsold the camaro. Although a camaro is a superior machine, daddys can't refuse buying thier daughters a 24k v6 mustang convertable
