For that price, I got a new pair of AlpineStars boots (closeout), a new pair of Bates boots for work (sale), tennis shoes and a pair of Wolverine boots.

Not saying they aren't some good boots, and maybe a little shopping around might get them cheaper.

I paid $35 for my boots and they have lasted 5 years so far. I think I got my money's worth out of them. When they are completely shot, I'll probably buy another pair similar to them.

One pair of combat boots I had looked like this only they were real military surplus and not just that style. I think I got them from Sportsman's Guide. They were real cheap and may have been slightly out of spec. The manufacture date in 1988 was stamped into the leather and I don't think it was long after that when I bought them. Last year the leather dry rotted or something. The tongue on both of them tore when I pulled too hard on them. I sure got my money's worth out of those, but they made my feet hurt if I stood or walked very much. https://www.armysurplusworld.com/bla...er-combat-boot
