Default homemade BP salute cannon

just wanted to share with you all my homemade BP salute cannon. Whole thing was built in my shed over the course of a week.

not sure if I can post a finished pic in the forum- but will happily email a pic and info to you

going off memory (cause it's not in front of me)
the barrel is surgical stainless, about 16" long with a 1" bore- threaded in the rear with a plug (oh the jokes ) for easy cleaning. The side plates were cut with a jig saw from aluminum stock- the wheels were cut from the same stock using a hole saw. Counter sunk and tapered the holes best I could with a 50 year old drill press and used brass fasteners to hold it all together.

I use about 25-30 grams of fff BP packed with newspaper- it echo's for a good 5 seconds after a blast and really pounds the chest.

everyone who hears this thing wants one-

Thats awesome. This summer, I purchased a "Tunder Mug" from PA. I pack 300 grains or about 1 TBS of fff black powder and BOOOOOOOM. My neighbors really love it going off at night (not). The guy next door said he jumped off his couch the first time he heard it go off. My broher in-law can hear it form his house over a mile away.

Thanks,

Jim

Mrs. Moose said it needs a couple GI Joe's to make the scene complete.
