air scoops for my 400ex

Default air scoops for my 400ex
I was just wondering what they are for do they give you more power or what??

They direct more air to your engine, oil tank, and oil cooler. It makes your engine run cooler....that's all.

My friend has the air scoops and a bigger oil resevoir on his 400 and it runs much cooler, both are a nice addition.

Where did he order his scoops and oil tank from? Has anybody seen a larger oil cooler for the 400EX. I have been thinking about getting the scoops for now and maybe a larger tank?

They also look cool, so i just ordered a set off ebay, i only paid $29 for a brand new set.

Default air scoops for my 400ex
I've noticed my OMF Shrouds don't do a lot for cooling, when i added fans infront of my oil cooler and switched to synthetic it helped alot more.
