250ex or z-250 good enough?
If you have been riding for awhile, then you should be able to handle a 250 sport-type quad. From my experiences I would go with the Suzuki Z250. Although it is a new model and may have a few flaws, it out performs the Honda 250EX in all caragories. The Suzuki Z250 is aimed at enrty-level sport-quad buyers. Obviously that is what you are. It would not be a wise choice to start riding sport type ATVs with a 400. Once you get a feel for the sport quad you clould trade in for one with a bigger engine.... but this is where i started, and it worked out for me!

Since you all ready have some ride time on your Foreman I would talk whoever is doing the purchase into springing for the 400EX because you won't out grow that any time soon and the fun factor is so much higher than the two quads you mentioned and at your size the 400EX would be a rocket.

My cousin is 13 and has a 400ex so I think you could handle it. He came from a 250 up to the 400ex and he rides it fine. You already ride a foreman450 and they are pretty sporty for a utility. You could probably ride the ex with no problem. If you can't stand not having reverse get a warrior or maybe even a z400 but if you're a honda guy and don't care about reverse get the ex.

Im doing all the purchasing on the atv, so its not that easy. I found a 2002 400ex for sale thats in pretty good shape for only $3,850, and it has a 4 year extended warrenty. I just hope they dont sell it by the time I have a chance to buy it. The only thing is the trails around my house are pretty rough, and I like the shaft drive on the z-250 and 250ex, but if I get either it will be the z.

Well I cant get the 400ex, overprotective parents. I dont need the speed neway for where I ride. I decided im going to get the 250ex, mostly for the reliability since ill most likely be taking it through a lot of water and I dont want it breaking down. But who knows, I might still get the suzuki.

The Z250 is very depandable too. It is based on the Suzuki Ozark, which as far as I know hasn't had any problems. I've had my Z250 for about 2 1/2 months and haven't had a single problem. I don't think you have to worry about it breaking down in the middle of a water hole.

I'm 15 and I got a Blaster 6 Months ago Brand new and that was my first Sport Quad and I loved it. I'm 5 7 at 135 pounds and it Felt small. I raced a z250 and won by alot and I raced both 250ex and 300ex and beat them both to. I would go with Blaster. But if you want features electric Start, Reverse go with the Others. I sold my Blaster 1 month ago and I bought a Raptor and I love it. Its got alot of Power but then I'm not crazy on it. I'm a little guy for one of those but its all good, Blaster or go up to Warrior For when you get older Thats why I sold my Blaster and got Raptor and because I wanted the Best
