I saw a tv show about the Bonneville salt flats speed records and some chick did 131mph on a 175cc bike. A guy on a supercharged hayabusa got 216 mph. There were some quads there but they didn't show thier speeds.

 

i saw that 2 with the lady on the 175 goin 131 but she must have had a lot of money into it to go that fast!!!

 

the busa had a turbo on it.

yeah, i saw it too, it was pretty amazing, nd she set a new world record.

 

I saw that too. THe guy with the busa claimed it had almost 500 horsepower. Could you imagine???

 

Ya, you would think a 500hp busa could do better than 216 mph? I think he was scared out of his mind when he hit 216 and figured he should call it a day. Can you imagine 216 mph wind all around you. Lift your head up and you will loose it.

 

he was pushing in the 300's and he later turned 246mph. if any of you have kazaa or anything like it download a video on a turbo busa, not the same but it's still amazing.

 

I got to go close to 200 mph on a highly modified Artic Cat Thundercat snowmobile. It put out over 200hp. I'm surprised that bike couldn't go faster than it did producing 500hp. But then again, 200mph scared the $h*t outa of me. The owner of the sled was able to push it up to over 220mph, but I'm too chicken to go that fast. I wouldn't blame the guy on that bike for not going faster.

 

That dude with the Busa set a world record 2 months later. He hit 246mph, that would scared the living crap out of me at that speed.
