Is there any differance in the KFX 400 and the Z-400?

 

From what I've heard, it's basically the same thing......just different plastic....I think most people go with the z though..

 

why do they go with the z?

 

I think its just because they like the way it looks better...

 

I heard that the z400 had 20 more hp than the kfx, JK, the only dif is the plastic, actually, the new artic cat dvx 400 has an easier chain tightener than both the kfx and Z, this is true. I can just about guarantee the Z and kfx will have the same chain tighteners as the artic cat in the near future. Personally, i like the looks of the kfx better.

 

The Suzuki website lists the "New drive chain adjustment system for quicker drive chain adjustment" for the 2004 Z400, so you can already get those with it too.

Per the Kawasaki website, "New swingarm design utilizes eccentric chain adjusters, making chain adjustment easier", for the '04 KFX400.

when looking for my quad i was looking at the z and kfx and what i found was that it is easier to find the z. plus i have had good experiences with suzuki in the past. but as far as which to get, pick a color they are the same, all the way down to suzuki on the engine case. the arctic cat looks pretty tough. you cant go wrong with any of the three. later

ya you are probably better to go with the z 400, i know of people with them and they are supposively pretty quick once u throw a pipe on them

 

They are the EXACT same machine. Look on the KFX's frame it says "made by suzuki" on it.
