Default Banshee or Warrior?

I need someone's help so I thought if I posted someone may be able to help me. I'm doing some investigative work and I'm looking for someone that will be riding raptors tomorrow? Is there more than one spot to ride raptors? Are there many people who do this during the week? What would my chances be of finding someone? How far of a drive is it from San Jose to Pismo Beach?

My comment was well thought out. I am unfortunately a previous owner of the warrior. The warrior has no suspension, does not like woops, is not a good hill climber, no low and mid range torque, and the stock tires suck!
Hondanutcase, the point that I was making was that a number of people - both men and women - have had, or still have a warrior today, many intermediate and advanced riders. Many of the warriors are totatally beat to he!!, frame dents, plastic ripped, rusting, etc. Most Warrior owners will certainly tell you that there are better, faster quads for more advanced riders. I too once owned one, back in the day, before the bigger bore 4 strokes were out (ie. 400ex). What else was there to own besides 2-strokes (shee, 250R, LT250, Tecate-4, Polaris)? A 300ex? I know of a number of people, duners, mxer's, etc. who still keep the warrior to thrash around on, even though they have Raptors, Shees, 250R's, etc. For that reason - I would not make such a worldly statement that the Warrior is for "girls". Most people, (I'm saying most, since you may not share this opinion), will tell you that the Warrior is one of the most indestructable quads ever built - especially from the beating that many owners put on them. With that said, enjoy your ride, whatever it may be.

Point taken! There are a lot of warriors out there. Now that we have that out of the way i think this topic was posted to help sledman find a new quad. Let's be honest if he is going to by a new quad for sport riding I don't think the warrior is the way to go. Unless price is an issue or if he really likes the warrior or is yamaha loyal. I would not not by a Banshee either unless I was doing some sand riding. The only reason that I wouldn't by a banshee is simple - Thumpers are more reliable and get better fuel mileage. Not saying that the Banshee is not a good quad.

Banshee or Warrior? Given only those two choices I would go with the Banshee. At least you can grow into it, instead of growing out of it.

Hold up! The only bike other than my shee that I would rathere have on the track is the 250r and we alll no it is the king of the track!....I run the shee on the track and the Dunes and have no problems what so ever...The Nose is heavier on the shee but once you learn how YOUR bike handles it does not matter what you are on....AS for the reverse, I have never needed reverse on my bike all the track I have ever been on you have to be going in forward

Great point, i guess the nose was a little heavy at first and the handling WAS a little on the average scale, but once i rode it alot, i never notice the nose or how bad it handles up to this day even on an mx track.
