First off...Rippey is a nut case...have you ever seen what he does on a snowboard?

2nd if I stuck a back flip...everyone including the pope would know!!

And a snowmobile offers 6 feet of studded traction...a quad about 1 1/2 feet of rubber in contact

there are some quads just as snappy as snowmobiles, rippey wasnt going top speed so you cant say speed is a issue..

Re-up on your physics classes boys. I'm a bit skeptical myself about the whole backflip on a 350lb machine, but it is possible. Newtons law, an object in motion stays in motion unless a force acts apon it. So in theory once you get the quad to start the rotation it should carry itself all the way around. BUT, the hard part is getting 350lbs to start to rotate with enough inertia to complete a full rotation before it hits the ground.

ok crash 929....first off...about anyone could do it without landing it! DUH! and secondly the one where he would of had a shot at landing it...he chickened out and let go...when u say someone pulled a backflip dont u think they should land it too??? just a thought....

i also agree with NJripper...it is a good fact but another thing...once u get it goin...and u get towards the end....start leaning back to stop some enertia flow... which eventually i think it will happen...i mean bikes did it....then dirtbikes....why not quads???

Isn't that how most of the backflips were originally tried, into the foam pit? Didn't look at the clips, but I have to say . . . it will be done, . . . eventually.
