400 ex or
raptor 660

which 1 is funner and easier to ride?

 

The 400ex is by far easier to ride, but lacks the obvious power of the 660. I just traded in my Raptor for a 04 400ex and an 04 Rancher AT for my wife. While I do miss the all out power of the 400ex, i do not miss the mechanical glitches that posed my Raptor. I would never say that the Raptor is a bad quad. I just would say the Honda is more mechanically refined. I ride 95% trails and fireroads. The biggest factor with the Raptor was the ill handling characteristics. I solved this by using wheel spacers and a lowering kit for the rear. The allowed the quad to slide out much better than stock. I would say I would basically come down to price. If you can get the Raptor cheap, I would go with that. I do not think there is a better trail quad. However, the 400ex's are dropping in price and you may be able to get one of those cheaper than what you think.

koo i was just wondering cuz i could trade my raptor for 2000 400ex and 2000 bucks , ive nevver rideen an ex anfd the guy refuses top let me ride it[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]

If he wont let you ride it i wouldnt trade. nooooowayyyyyyy.. a 400 ex is a better mx bike than the raptor but the raptor is alot more fun.

 

what kind of freestyle .. if its ground stunting trade for the 400ex thay are the wheelie kings great balance point .. very easy to do diffrent wheelie combos ..

or you could stop arguing and just go try the 400 ex and see wich you like best.
