i was thinking of getting a quad i am 14 and i am 5'4 140 pounds and have only ridden twice before. The two i am thinking of getting are the Bombardier Rally or the Kawasaki Bayou 250 could you please give me the pros and cons of these two four wheelers and maybe some other suggestions on what i should get.

If you want racks and two wheel drive, those new bruins by yamaha look really nice for a beginner. They also come in 4x4. you will out grow the rally too fast at your age. In two months you will want more power and features. The rally is a great bare bones quad for someone who only needs general riding, around less complicated terrain. It will get the job done though. If you want a sporty quad the previously suggested 300ex is a very good choice for a beginner and I'm not even a fan of Honda's. You wont outgrow its power very quickly. The suzuki Ozark is the best choice if you want a 250 class 2x4 with racks. Very surprising for a 250 class machine. Good luck.

It all depends on how fast you think you will learn and how soon you think you will grow out of stuff. I dont know jack crap about the rally or bayou lol, but a sport quad for a beginner thats only ridden two times i would have to say either the Honda 300ex, the Yamaha Blaster (you might grow out of this one a little fast) or the Yamaha Warrior (step up from blaster). What you could also do is get a bigger quad, and just not go all out on it. a quad does have gears, you could get a bigger faster quad, and just stay in the lower gears until you get better.

that is exactly what i am doing... before i got my 400ex, i had only been riding a few times, borrowing friend's quads. when i got it, i didn't try to do a wheelie or stupid stuff (at least if you are a beginner) like that. actually, i didn't get out of first gear until i had around 2 hours of seat time, just because that is what i was comfortable with at the time. now, only a month or so later, i am so very happy that i got the 400 instead of the 300ex. lots of people say that this quad is way too much for you, you will kill yourself on it, get a slow one to start. but, as i see it, it will only go as fast as you let it go hope i helped!
