Default Hi All

CroBiker:>I live in Newfoundland, its on canadas eastern coast its part of the maritime provinces.

The epa Regulations as I understood them is a big deal and If everything works out none of the majour manufactures will be able to sell a 2-strokes after 2006(in 2 years), unless they meet an emmisions level that will be acceptable. For me personally I dont really care about the fact 2-strokes will be an anceint dinosour of the past because there are alot of really awesome 4-strokes but I would like to have one to scare myself every once in a while. LOL

TrailBlazerguy250:> Dont worry about the 400ex its a very good atv and im sure u will love it, actually I was thinking about getting one and if the local honda dealer still has the one they have on the floor now in june I might have it.

Default Hi All

oooo, sorry, my mistake. the 400EX is a great quad, but if u want something with a lot of speed, and power, don't get it. the 400EX is a rather out-dated quad; reliable as sh*t; but out-dated. i'm not tryin to make u now buy a 400EX, hell, i have one. i'm jus lettin u know.

CroBiker:> No problem man I really dont think many people in the US know where Newfoundland is or even about us. LOL

Refering to the 400ex I really like it for its simplicity(air cooled) and reliability but I do realize it deffinately not the fastest or best handiling atv on the market(maybe 5 or 6 years ago but not now). I was thinking about the raptor or ds but I would REALLY like to have an atv more rece inspired(?spelling) like the yfz or trxr, I guess I will have to wait until the spring to make my decision.

Who knows maybe I might build my own, atleast I will have everything the way I want.

If you want a race bike you need to go to the 3 wheel version!!!....J/K. Welcome

Default Hi All

Well I have an update. I was down to my local honda/yamaha dealer and sat on the 03 400ex they have down there and it fits me like a glove, sitting on it I have lots of room and although it feels compact it fits me good, also standing up the bars are the perfict height and I dont have to bend down to much. All in all im pretty pleased considering I was thinking it would be to small(havent really looked at one close up), Im pretty sure this will be my first atv and since its reliable easy to modd and fast enough for me(i usually ride around at 45 or 50mph) I think im going to have an 04 in the spring. Cool

The atvs im considering are ltz/dvx/kfx, 400ex, Predator, Raptor, I love the yfz and trxr but I dont think I will be rideing it hard enough to justify buying one(I wont be going to any mx tracks, just woods roads). I like speed but I want something thats really reliable, decent fast, light, also I want good fuel milage(ds and vforce are to heavy). I would also like something that fits me good and lots of potential for mods. I guess I have to look around more to really make a good because there are too many good atvs on the market at this point in time LOL.

\they still handle better than z400's and raptor's. i think they are one of the best wheelie 4wheelers ever made, awsome balance point and tracable motor.
