another "which is faster" thread (cheap bikes)
im gottin a sport bike soon. it looks like the nicer bikes (raptor, yfz, v-force...) are too pricey, so now im looking at cheaper bikes.
300ex
blaster
warrior
mojave
lakota
quadzilla (quadracer, whatever)
i know its more about what your comfortable with, whatevers best for you..., ive read it all, but it seems in my case that price matters more than comfort. i want a fast bike for about 1500-2000 dollars. hoping to find an older model bike that still has some pep. what do you suggest?

well to start, out of your list, you will have the best luck as far as being reliable with the 300ex, and fairly cheap. the quadzilla and quadracer are two different machines, one is a 500 (zilla) and 250 is the quadracer both fast, but will take more money to keep up because of being a two stroke. Warrior is a good choice, moderately fast, trusty, and been around for a while which means its old technology. blaster is another 2 stroke, pretty fast. mojave is outdated. wont even comment on lakota out of your choices, i would prolly go with a 300ex. Isnt the fastest, but it is bullet proof and will always start if it has been taken care of. Good trail bike, and many after market parts to buy for it to make it faster if speed is what you want. good luck

mojave was my first sportish quad, and w/ a dg pipe, 14/37 gearing, 20/11/10 razors, and wide offset fronts, it was quite the bang for the buck. but ya gotta kick it, but choking and full throttle will make anything start. and i've yet to see a green and purple 300ex. chix dig it. oh, btw, dual overhead cam tech in the engine is what sold me on it. awesome power for the size being a four-stroke.

i'd say prolly go with blaster. there quick, light, and only like 1500 for a late model in good conditoin. but it might be too small. take a blaster for a spin and see if its to small. i'm 5-11 and feel cramped on a blaster but i can still rip through trails on one.
