when both quads have every mod there is and thin some witch quad will take the place a king for atleast a year or so

i think when it all over the 450r might just barley out peform the yfz450 mabey not drag races but just about every were else wat do u guys think

I LIKE HONDA BUT I DISAGREE 450R HAS A RAGGED CARB ON IT AND SPROCKETS ARE TO HIGH

 

As far as the handling part goes........that will never be decided on due to each rider's individual tastes.

But I can tell you that for mod vs mod for each machine, the Yamaha will come out on top everytime.

Both of these engines have been out for two years in the dirtbike world. Yamaha riders have had a field day with hopup parts that really make the YZ450s roar. The CRFs on the other hand have found hardly anything to add power. After a pipe install, cams,porting, and pistons don't do much.

 

Id say the 450 would win.....definetly.

There will never be a winner. Technology never comes to a halt. New hop ups come out all the time. Look at the banshee, its been around for 15+years and the bike keeps getting faster.

Guys that is just dumb....... You all know its going to come down to the better rider? the winner of last year wasent on a trx or a yfz think about it doug gust did it on a suzuki. It all comes down to rider not machine.

 

I have a new yfz 450 and its pulls in every gear the new trx is slow up untill you hit 3 and up it just isnt as race ready as the yfz. Im not going on something that a magazine says i have a friend that i race with that has one and its not just as fast mabey in top end but if u race it your not just going to hold it wide open all the time! its going to take a lot more money to get it ready to race than the yfz but some people just have to back honda i guess. i would like to hear from more people that have a yfz and have raced a honda.

personally I race mx and dont think any of the machines are set up to race out of the box. I feel all of them need to be wider and better suspension, and motor work is not nessary but sometimes nessary. I have a z that is race ready and Ive beat every 450 ive raced stock or not I cant see how the mags say it cant hang Ive seen them hang and Ive seen me go by 450s. I am not saying im the fastes im sure there are guys out there but no machine stock is race ready and it comes down to rider on the mx track after all its not a drag race is it? and the yfz might not be the king in all circumstances not that its not a great machine.
