Whoever says the Predator doesn't handle well and has bad suspension can't ride. There's no other way to see it. Whether it's best at it or not doesn't matter, it's excellent.

Thank you shaman....I was thinking the exact same thing...it is the best steering and suspension I have seen, atleast on a stocker.

yeah I read what you said, and unless you got a pred that was beat to ****, then it should handle very well, especially if it is dialed in. The power of the pred is also way better than those, so power and suspension, what more do you need.

you twp guys are so biased the dvx handles better than the predator and looks better to. the front shcks may not be as good but if you know how to ride they work well.

Yamaha660R summed it up best... Everyone else just likes to argue about how great their own bike is.

true, but you have to be somewhat realistic, and know when a quad is better than yours.

The 400EX, while having a ton of mods available, is the dated design of the 3.

The DVX (IMO) is the best package of the 400 tri-quad (Suzu, Kawi, Arctic). It's a nifty, nimble package, with some well thought out add-ons. The model does lack in rear ground clearance. Multiple times last year, high centering was experienced by this quad...very frustrating. Hats off to Arctic Cat for those removable front fenders!

The Predator had some first year burps...don't they all. The refinements for '04 shifted the balance to "lighten" the feel of the front. The valving of the shocks was changed (just add front rezzi's and you're set for anything). The Pro steering virtually eliminates bump-steer, and also greatly reduces obstacle impact feedback. Whether people like or dislike the modular styling...that's personal choice.

There is your answer: strait from the man!!! Hey Ken, why did they lighten the front end, I know that when I'm riding, I wouldn't want the front end to come up any easier than it already does.
